Our Genomics Education Programme was founded to deliver the learning and development necessary to enable both current and future NHS (National Health Services, UK) professionals to make the best use of genomics in their practice. The GEP has developed a broad range of educational resources, from informal learning to formal qualifications.
Empowering healthcare professionals to integrate genomics into their clinical practice. Programs address specific clinical needs such as identifying patients appropriate for genetic or genomic testing, assessing risk, interpreting genetic and genomic test results for patient management decisions, and communicating with patients about genomic information.
NHGRI collaborates with the scientific and medical communities to catalyze genomic breakthroughs and supports the robust study and treatment of specific diseases with colleagues at National Institutes of Health. Find information for public and healthcare providers, from Introduction to Genomics, to Disease summaries, policy issues, continuing education opportunities and more.
